TAP-Transit Assistance Program

SmartLink is pleased to announce that Metro Transit has rolled out a new Transit Assistance Program (TAP) that offers certified low-income residents ages 6 and up to ride for $1 per trip for one year. Enrollment can be done at any Metro Transit Service Center, Southwest Transit stations, and the Marschall Road Transit Station in Shakopee.
Fares can be paid with the easy to use Go-To-Card and discount is for all fixed route buses and trains (excludes Dial-a-ride and Metro Mobility). In order to qualify for TAP, individuals must enroll in person, have a phoot ID and proof of eligibility with one of the following forms:
- State of MN EBT card
- Free/Reduced Lunch Approved Letter
- WIC ID Folder
- Metro HRA Family Summary
- Plymouth HRA Verification Sheet and Family Information Survey
